The business task was to prepare employees to enter confined spaces for performing repairs. The development objective was to create a realistic VR-simulator that would effectively train company employees to prepare for entering confined spaces for repair work.
Developing a realistic VR-simulator based on the customer's scenario.
1) Design and approval of the simulator script and its visual concept (3 days).
2) Prototyping the scenario as part of the simulator mechanics (2 weeks).
3) Creating the simulator scene and the visual components of the entire application—from UI to 3D objects to populate the scene (2 weeks in parallel with the scenario prototyping).
4) Testing and revisions (2 weeks)
Employees improve their skills and practice specific actions critical to saving the lives and health of their colleagues by training in environments that closely resemble real-life situations. This allows them to accurately perform the same actions on real objects.
